On this sunny Monday morning, we welcome back Brandon Duggan, this time not for work experience but as a full member of the Hamilton Barnes team. Brandon is 17 years old and lives in Southend on Sea. We already got to know Brandon a little bit during his 2-week work experience back in June but to get to know him a bit more we asked him some questions about his interests, how he likes to spend his time outside of work, accompanied by a few unusual questions.
Why did you join Hamilton Barnes?
When I finished school, I started a course in air-conditioning engineering. I noticed the course wasn’t really for me and I couldn’t finish the practical exams of the course because I broke my leg when I was playing football. I had to change my career path and decided to look at other options, which led me to Recruitment. This industry seemed like a good career option and I wanted to get some experience in this field. My brother who is a network engineer introduced me to Hamilton Barnes and I got the opportunity to do 2 weeks of work experience here. It went really well and I also enjoyed working here, so I was very happy that I impressed the team enough during those two weeks that they decided to offer me a full-time position.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to meet up with my friends and play football.
What is something you are very proud of?
I’m really proud of securing a job at Hamilton Barnes that was initially just work experience. I’m happy that I got into the recruitment industry as it is an industry where hard work gets rewarded and there are many opportunities for me.
What’s your favourite food?
That must be Pizza, especially pepperoni pizza.
What sport do you play?
Football
If you could have one superpower, which on would you choose?
Read minds, to see what people think of you.
If you could only take one physical item with you on a deserted island, what would it be?
I would take my phone with me. It gives you something to do to pass time.
What is on your bucket list?
What I would really love to do is swim with dolphins in a sunny country. I also like to go travelling and see the world.
